Football crazy 
Dev malhotra woke up once again on a fine and sunny Sunday ready for a football match which he has been waiting and practicing for more than a month now..........................the match was scheduled on 7:00p.m (sharp) at the close by deserted ground.He called his father again to practice for the last time before the match starts,  at the ground as he wanted to play like never before.Motivation for the entire effort  was an awesome phone his Dad would gift ,if they won.He was eagerly waiting for the phone e was wanting from long back.When he was small,he used to get denied of a cellular phone because his parents used to always advice him that "too much exposure to technology will get your concentration out of studies".He also called up his best friend,John for the football practice.

They all started in dev's car to the ground.After reaching,they immediately started doing goal practice.john was an expert in goal keeping and dev's dad in his young time was an expert in football.As they had never been in a real football match ever,  the both of them got an glance of how an real match would look like.They were ready for the match and at last it began!

the score at half time was 1:0 . the 1st goal was for electric ninja's (opponent team)and the zero for  humming hornets(dev's and johns' team). the humming hornets started emerging with 1:2 goals(2 goals for humming hornets) at the last ten minutes . Dev being the captain of his team, told all the members to secure the goal and just make time pass. All the people did according to the plan and at the last, electric ninja's team captain gave an spinning kick at john's face and dev knew that john will not be able to defend the goal so, in a micro second's time dev leapt forward for the ball and alas!

dev had defended the goal but he had also got hurt in his leg.he could see nothing and feel nothing.only the pain and the phone were in his mind.he fell down unconsciously on the ground.

After 5 hours at the hospital dev woke up and he could sense something unusual.he felt that the bed which he was resting on was not his bed but the hospitals bed.everything seemed different.he tried to get up  but he couldn't feel his right leg.he tried again and again but nothing.he shouted real hard and tried to get up but still nothing.after hearing the sound of dev crying,the nurse,dev's dad and mom & his best friend john came running to him.

he looked at everyone for explanation but the nurse shook her head and said during your match you had lost your leg while trying to defend the goal. Dev's heart was was beating very fast because he knew this couldn't be true.

but expressions said it all. Dev could not play football anymore but still he knew,everyone else knew that he is still an  football player an awesome football player.
